In English, it seems that Abraham was resting comfortably in the shade of the door in his tent. Is this scenario plausible? Absolutely, indeed without doubt. But a very important question arises. Why would such a seemingly insignificant detail be recorded in the Scripture? Might there be a connection to the qualified sacrifice of which Abraham observed as a bystander only? Is there a spiritual element built within the oak trees of Mamre that will brilliantly reveal Abraham’s internal fortitude in establishing his eternal pledge of allegiance that has DIRECT IMPLICATIONS and consequences for us today? Why not “Come and See”!? Shalom!
